This year's Summit is an opportunity for South Carolinians committed to creating safer living and learning environments for youth to learn more about the problems and challenges youth face in schools and beyond, including bullying, dating violence, discrimination, etc., and be empowered to effect change. This event is over two days. Friday will be focused on professional development and Saturday will be focused on youth and their caregivers.
Youth and parent day will feature a keynote panel by Every Black Girl, a general parent track, and a unique track of breakout sessions for youth – presented by youth. These sessions will include topics important to today’s youth – including advocacy, human trafficking, improving civil engagement, and more.
